Origin & Story
The Skeppshult herb grinder is made in Sweden at the tradition-rich cast iron manufactory Skeppshult. Since 1906, kitchen tools of pure cast iron have been created there – by hand and with care. The design of the Swing series comes from Carl & Carl and combines Scandinavian simplicity with functional precision.
Highlights
The grinder is made entirely of cast iron. Its high weight ensures stability, the grooved grinding surfaces crush herbs and spices evenly. The precisely fitting wooden lid (oak, walnut or black ash) closes tightly and preserves the aroma. The compact shape allows grinding and storage in one.
Quality
Made from 100% cast iron – no coating, no plastic. The woods are solid, carefully worked and come from responsible sources. The grinder is built for long use; only tools that prove themselves daily find their way into the manufactory.

Tip from Tobias Funke
I dry-toast seeds like cumin or coriander briefly and grind them while still warm – this opens up the aroma without bitter notes. Pepper I grind right at the table, turning the top and bottom against each other.
