Origin & Production
This gin was distilled in 2022 in Heiden at 840 m above sea level, in the open air. It was made as a classic London Dry gin – with no subsequent flavouring and no added colour or sugar. The aromatics were introduced exclusively during distillation.
Botanicals & Character
Juniper forms the base and is clearly present, yet finely integrated. Yuzu brings bright citrus notes, while ginger and green cardamom provide spicy depth. Red Sichuan and long pepper set peppery accents, complemented by the fresh acidity of sumac. The peppermint comes from Heiden and rounds off the profile, cool and clear.
Quality
Distilled in small batches with alcohol of agricultural origin. Distillation according to the requirements for London Dry gin. Alcohol content: 40%. Bottle volume: 50 cl.
Tasting notes
Nose: juniper harmoniously integrated, fine pepper notes, fresh citrus accents.
Palate: a spicy start, precise pepper heat, balanced citrus freshness, a long finish with warm juniper and a fine tingle.
Serving suggestion
Neat, on ice or with a high-quality tonic. Especially recommended: Fever-Tree Indian Tonic Water.
Storage
Store well sealed, away from light and cool. Once opened, enjoy within 12 months.

What does London Dry gin mean?
London Dry gin is not a designation of origin but a method of production subject to strict quality requirements:

Raw materials: The alcohol must be of agricultural origin – usually from grain, potatoes or molasses.

Production: All botanicals are introduced exclusively during distillation. Maceration (steeping in alcohol) is not permitted. The alcohol must be distilled to at least 70% vol.

Additives: No colourings or flavourings may be added afterwards. Only water for dilution and a maximum of 0.1 g of sugar per litre are permitted – so the gin stays dry ("dry").

Aroma profile: Juniper is usually at the forefront, but not necessarily dominant. The flavour profiles can therefore vary greatly depending on the recipe.

London Dry gin stands for a particularly clear and unadulterated form of gin production – reduced to the essentials, transparent in its making and defined by pure distillation.
