My tip: For finishing use just 1–2 pinches per portion – salt early when cooking and taste again at the end, so the minerality doesn’t dominate.
Origin & Story
This salt comes from the mighty mines of Punjab, around 200 km south-west of the Himalayas. It is quarried in ancient stone pits – according to legend, the horses of Alexander the Great once discovered this wealth of colour. Today this pink-red salt from Pakistan is prized worldwide as a natural table salt.
Highlights
The salt owes its delicate reddish-pink colour to its natural iron oxide content. It is mild, clear and pleasantly salty, without heat or bitterness. The fine grain makes it easy to dose – whether while cooking or as a finish over vegetables, soups or fresh breads. On the plate it feels subtle yet present – almost like a breath of mountain freshness.

Extracted by hand, free from refining, without additives – this salt stays all-natural. It contains valuable minerals like iron, potassium and magnesium.
